bandom_holidays stories I got stuck in a few snowflake_challenge -entries, and ended up WRITING! turps inspired me to write my own double-drabble which adds a part to her story but can also be read as a standalone.bandom_holidays fanworks exchange and had lots of fun creating some "movie-posters" for sperrywink . I didn't have time to take part in Bandom Big Bang, so I'm glad that I was able to create something at the end of last year. I love this part of the challenge and I'm sure I will find some fanworks that I will enjoy in other people's posts. I was looking through my AO3 bookmarks trying to remember the reasons why I bookmarked the fics other than that I thought they were brilliant.

A soulbond-fic about not-soulbonding. This collaboration was done for this year's Bandom Big Bang and when you have read fic from both authors, you know that their combined effort had to be even more heartbreaking and rewarding. To cite myself from my comment: I also love that, even if it's not really featuring the Bandom-bands as themselves, it's still set with music, in clubs, Gerard performing, and cameos of almost everyone throughout the story.

As my third rec I included a fic that I haven't read yet, because of lack of time before and around christmas. But I know the author. She's a brilliant writer and I have read her other fics and admired not only her ability to tell great stories, but also her use of language, especially in her Spartacus-fics, which fits the subject so well. Day 2: In your own space, share a favorite memory about fandom: the first time you got into fandom, the last time a fanwork touched your heart, crazy times with fellow fans (whether on-line or off-line), a lovely comment you’ve received or have left for someone.
I‘ve not participated in many fandoms, but in the two that I mainly write or create in I‘ve been welcomed by lovely people. I was shyly lurking long before I tried to comment or create myself, but friendly replies or kudos were a great reward.

In your own space, talk about why you're participating in Snowflake and, if you’ve participated in the past, how the challenge has affected you. What drew you to it? What did you take away from it? What do you hope to accomplish this year?
OMG, it’s 2018 already, and I’m still at my friend‘s house where I celebrated New Year‘s.
I‘ve been taking part in the Snowflake Challenge for some years now. Last year I wasn’t home during the first days, and after that work stopped me doing most of the days. This year I‘ll try to do at least a few more.
I like the low pressure nature of it, I like to read other fan‘s entries, and I enjoyed being inspired to create by seeing others‘ enthusiasm.
I hope that this year I will be able to write and to create something. At least I‘m looking forward to trying.
