Day 2: In your own space, share a favorite memory about fandom: the first time you got into fandom, the last time a fanwork touched your heart, crazy times with fellow fans (whether on-line or off-line), a lovely comment you’ve received or have left for someone.

I‘ve not participated in many fandoms, but in the two that I mainly write or create in I‘ve been welcomed by lovely people. I was shyly lurking long before I tried to comment or create myself, but friendly replies or kudos were a great reward.

Fandom can be so welcoming, and it's the people who make it a great place to hang out, for sure.

Yes, there is almost always someone ready to be friendly to the newbie in every fandom. Sometimes it might take a while to find them but they're always there!
