5 artists/bands who didn't play in my city and one (two) that did [picspam]

Lately I've been disappointed a lot of times because none of the bands I would like to go and see live was coming anywhere near me since I had become interested in bandom-bands. To be fair, they all played here BEFORE. But not last year when I would have bought a ticket.

So I had been waiting excitedly for tour news, only to be disappointed. Again and again. 5 times actually, hence the title of this post. With one exception!



THEY didn't play in my city (and with "my city" I mean the one that I only have to drive 30 minutes to get there):

And THEY split up before I could decide to go and see them play in my city:

Even my latest wish wasn't granted, to see him live over here in May:

But when I had a chance to buy a ticket to see THEM, I took it. Yesterday I left work early, drove through a snowstorm, payed a lot for parking, but it was worth it.

Yes, I was definitely entertained by Queen and Adam Lambert (pics all mine):

It was a bombastic show. Adam's great voice fit the songs wonderfully and his performance and interaction with the band was fun to watch. Brian May enjoyed himself so much, Roger Taylor surprised me with his singing and his son, Rufus Tiger on additional drums, and even Freddie Mercury wasn't forgotten but included in the show via video clips.

Fun fact: "Under Pressure" is now the song I saw performed live both at a Bowie concert and at a Queen Concert.

That's so fantastic you got to see Adam and Queen. A lot of people I know have been to see the show and they all said it was fantastic.

I enjoyed the show very much. I saw Adam Lambert perform with Queen on TV before and decided to go and see them live if they toured over here. I'm so glad that they did and I could go to the concert.
