snowflake_challenge  - Day 2

In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts. Maybe someone will grant a wish. Check out other people's posts. Maybe you will grant a wish. If any wishes are granted, we'd love it if you link them to this post.

1)  M/M/M threesome recs
As I wrote one or more times before (*coughlastyearcough*), I like threesome-fics. Explicit or non-explicit, dramatic or fluffy, getting together or established relationship - I'd read it.
I'd prefer Bandom-recs, especially fics that are older and/or not on AO3 because I've been reading new ones over there for a couple of years. so I might know those already.
But if anyone has a favourite threesome-story in another fandom, please tell me as well!

And - with "recs" I don't mean pointing me in the direction where I could find fic tagged 3-some, no, I want to read things that someone liked or loves. So, tell me why, or, at least that you liked it when you rec the fic.


2)  Icons / icon recs
I don't have many icons for DW yet, so I'd love to get a few more, especially because I'm planning to post a bit more over here in the new year.
So I would like icons or icons with multiple subjects/themes: winter (see my username), spring, fun, whatever.

Point me to your creations or your favourite sites.


3)  Bandom-Meme
Since I have discovered bandom_meme , I have read lots of brilliant prompts and fills there. I have filled some prompts myself and the non-pressure challenge is a lot of fun.
There always are lots of prompts left unfilled every month, so if you, who reads my entry, feel creative, go there and fill a prompt. Every kind of fanwork is possible. Usually each month has a theme, but very often there is an open round, and older prompts can be cited again. And noone has complained when I "misread" a prompt a little bit to fit it to my idea.
Or go there and read (also on AO3) and give the cute little stories a bit of love through your comment.

You might find something of interest in my threesome tag on Pinboard. I think all links still work but it's been some time since I did any cleaning-up so I'm not totally sure.

ETA: I knew I forgot something! The theme for January in fancake is Threesomes so it might be a good idea to keep an eye on the comm in the next few weeks. Of course, not all of the recced stories will be M/M/M but I should think at least some of them will.

Maybe some of my non-fandom icons are something for you? There's a bunch of winter ones among the Japanese ukiyo-e and also among my own photo icons.

My third wish was also for more activity in bandom_meme!

I'm going to try to do some icons for someone else's wish list so I'll look for some general winter/spring pics and see if I can't add some for you in the batch. I'll let you know what I come up with! I also have an old icon journal on IJ - http://asylums.insanejournal.com/shellyness/ but I don't think I have a whole lot of stock icons. Anyway, if you see anything in particular you'd like an icon of, let me know!

It isn't exactly bandom, but umm... here is a oneshot I wrote that features two members of Hanson and Alex Greenwald. If that doesn't totally put you off, I'm also pretty proud of my longer story Truth is a Whisper, but the threesome (which becomes a polyamorous relationship) doesn't come in until quite late in the (still unfinished) story, so you may not want to read that much just for a few sex scenes.

One of my favorite bandom m/m/m fics is It may not always be so which is a sequel to Sing terribly afar.
And there's also Fair Market Value (Ryan/Brendon/Spencer) and Wednesday Night Boys (Ryan/Brendon/Jon) but I think you might have already read these two?

I know that I've ready more bandom m/m/m fics, I distinctly remember a werewolf!au with Frank/Gerard/Mikey and another werewolf!au with brendon/ryan/jon but my fic bookmarking system leaves a lot to be desired. :(

There's also a few other m/m/m fics I know but they're in the Harry Potter fandom, if you're okay with that let me know!  ♥

Bandom_meme! It's on my to-do list to be more active in the comm this year!

But the others are new to me.

I never say no to recs in other fandoms, maybe someone else reads this thread and loves HP-threesomes. But I will definitely read your other recs first. ;-)

I haven't read this in years, but I am just so fond of it, I remember it as one of those things where things just sort of slide into place - Gabe and Mikey pick Bill up, basically, and they all fit together really well. It's lovely.

Brendon is so not prepared for this. He grew up Mormon, for fuck's sake.

I had totally forgotten about this fic until I read that summary, but it's the one where Brendon goes off and hangs out with other people who aren't into that either, and ends up finding something real special. Cute and ridiculous, basically.
