Snowflake Challenge 2016 - Day 1

This year I'm late to the challenge because I was away for the last few days to celebrate New Years Eve with a friend, but now that I'm home again I'm looking forward to catching up with reading the others' entries and challenging myself. So, let's start:

snowflake_challenge  - Day 1

In your own space, talk about why you are doing the Fandom Snowflake Challenge? What drew you to it as a participant? What do you hope to accomplish by doing these challenges?

I usually start work after the holidays on January 7th, so the Snowflake Challenge always has been a lovely thing to start the new year and spend my days off doing fannish stuff. Looking forward to a new challenge each day also made the first days of work in January easier.
Of course I also make resolutions to create more during the coming year - with mixed results. Oh well.
Mostly I do it because it's fun and a great opportunity to read about other fans and their fandoms.

Reading everyone's reasons for doing Snowflake has been a wonderful thing. <3

I've not read all of them, there are too many, but everyone adds something unique. Which is totally what the Snowflake Challenge is about.

Maybe this will be the year your resolutions will bear fruit, you never know! *keeps fingers crossed for you*

Doing it because it's fun is really the only reason anyone needs!

I love how everyone seems to have some of the same reasons and some special ones.
