In your own space, talk about what you bring to fandom. It can be something tangible, or not.

I've always been someone who's motivated by other peoples' enthusiasm and creativity. And of course by positive feedback, comments or kudos for my work.

So I try to give something back by commenting on fics that I loved or giving kudos. I always try to say why I enjoyed a particular story or what I thought about it because that's how I like it myself.

I try to do the same. Sometimes it can be really hard to articulate why you liked a story, but I always at least try :-)

If I get comments, I like both, short and long ones.
When I'm commenting I'm sometimes overwhelmed by the story and don't know how to express myself, sometimes I just pick a sentence or paragraph and quote it to highlight my opinion.
I get e-mails of my AO3 comments and it was nice browsing through them and remembering the fics they were about for my recs-post for day 14 snowflake-entry.

I think commenting on fics is a huge thing. I know getting comments always makes my day, so way to go you.
